DRHC is looking for a full-time General Surgeon to join our awesome rural healthcare team!
DRHC is a 42-bed rural health centre in Northwestern Ontario, including a 3-bed CCU , 24/7 Emergency Department, and 2 modern OR theatres with 1 fully integrated MIS suite. We have a regionally-integrated EMR (Meditech, current development towards adopting Meditech Expanse), on-site diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound, x-ray), laboratory services, and nearby pathology (Kenora).
We have over 300 staff, including an established group of physicians with a mix of young and experienced doctors, a local General Surgery team, and local GP/A’s.
DRHC is conveniently located on the same grounds as the Dingwall Medical Clinic and Dryden Area Family Health Team, making collaborative care a breeze. DRHC also hosts a Specialty Clinic that brings in visiting specialists year-round, supporting quality healthcare closer to home. This includes Orthopedic Surgery (knee, hip, spine), ENT , Plastics, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Rheumatology, Urology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry.
