Job Description

Sensyst, the Business Interiors Group, is currently seeking a highly efficient and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Furniture Specifier in our Mississauga Office. As a full-service design firm specializing in commercial interior projects, we offer a comprehensive range of services to our clients, including planning, designing, building, and furnishing. Our turnkey approach ensures that our clients can focus on their core business while we take care of all their interior needs.

As the Furniture Specifier, you will play a crucial role in our organization by providing essential support to our sales, design, and project management teams. You will be responsible for various tasks related to furniture specification, procurement, and project coordination. Your exceptional organizational skills and keen eye for detail will ensure that all projects run smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare presentation packages for clients.
  • Review specifications and prepare furniture quotes for clients.
  • Input furniture feasibility plans
  • Assist in the selection and specification of furniture products for commercial interior projects.
  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to develop comprehensive furniture plans and budgets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of furniture trends, products, and materials available in the market.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to request quotes, samples, and specifications.
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders for furniture and accessories, and review order acknowledgments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including product catalogs, pricing lists, and project files.
  • Visiting job sites and performing site verification and deficiency walk through.

Education and Experience

  • Degree/ Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience working full time as a commercial furniture specifier
  • Strong AutoCAD Skills
  • Familiar with furniture specification software (2020 CAP)
  • Furniture Knowledge and experience is a requirement
