The Job

The role involves supporting legal professionals, NGOs, and academic institutions by delivering detailed, country-specific insights related to political developments, human rights, social structures, and legal frameworks in East Asia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce expert reports analyzing conditions in their country of expertise related to social, political, legal, or human rights concerns, based on individual case contexts.
  • Provide objective, well-researched insight to inform legal arguments, documentation, or case evaluations.
  • Deliver professional, well-documented reports to support legal cases (including asylum and immigration) and academic/public policy projects.
  • Review case-specific documents and apply your expertise to relevant questions.
  • Follow a structured legal report template with support from our team at every step.
  • Maintain high standards of neutrality, professionalism, and confidentiality.

The Profile

  • Substantial knowledge and experience dealing with political, social, and/or human rights issues in East Asian country/ies
  • A background in law, political science, international relations, human rights, journalism, or a related field.
  • Accreditation or membership in a recognized professional body is an advantage.
  • A portfolio of written work (e.g., academic articles, reports, legal briefs, journalistic pieces) related to East Asian country/ies
  • Fluency in English and strong writing skills are essential
  • Strong punctuality and ability to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
