Food Truck Chef Location Belleville, ON :

We are a family-run BBQ catering and food truck company located in the beautiful rural Stirling countryside, with our food truck located in Belleville on Hwy 62. Position: We are seeking a team member to help us operate and enhance our existing BBQ Food Truck. This is a full-time seasonal position with responsibilities that include operations of the food truck, assisting in menu development, food preparation and cooking, customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment. This is an excellent oppurtunity for someone who is seeking experience & training in operating a commercial kitchen and has a passion for creating food & bringing the joy of a well crafted meal to the public.

Position: Food Truck Chef

  • Hours : 40 - 44 hours per week
  • Season : April - October
  • Wage : Starting at $17.60 + tips & performance based bonuses available

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of weekly specials, as well as fine-tune the existing menu in collaboration with management.
  • Prepare and serve food truck catering pick-ups.
  • Cook existing menu items according to recipes.
  • Oversee food truck preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, frying, and baking.
  • Maintain inventory levels and submit weekly food and supply orders to the kitchen manager.
  • Pickup & dropoff of till float, cash, garbage & food supply from main kitchen, as required.
  • Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Operate and manage food truck equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Address and resolve customer queries or concerns professionally.
  • Monitor food costs and waste to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Supervise additional food truck employees.
  • Ensure dishes are well-presented before serving.
  • Properly store all food and other items.
  • Check the quality of ingredients regularly.
  • Capture & prepare social media content

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cook.
  • Proficiency in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
  • Excellent public communication skills.
  • Physical fitness and stamina.
