About Us:

Jena Industries Inc. is a leading manufacturer of paint lines and industrial finishing systems. We design, fabricate, and assemble high-quality equipment for a variety of industries. We are a growing team of 17 dedicated professionals, and we are looking for an experienced Fitter/Welder to join our fabrication team.

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter/Welder to manufacture large welded machine structures for our industrial finishing systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working with structural steel components, including HSS, L-Angles, I-Beams, and C-Channels. This role requires proficiency in MIG (90%) and TIG (10%) welding processes, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform accurate measurements, and work with large assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate large welded machine structures using MIG and TIG welding processes on mild and stainless steel.
• Work with a variety of materials, including 16 gauge to 3/8" thickness, with occasional work on up to 1" thick materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Perform layout, fitting, and welding tasks to meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Utilize measuring tools, levels, and other hand tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Operate forklifts, telehandlers, plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a team of 8 fabricators.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Fitter/Welder in a fabrication environment.
• Proficiency in MIG (90%) and TIG (10%) welding processes on mild and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong fitting and layout skills.
• Experience working with structural steel components.
• Ability to use measuring tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to heavy equipment with the assistance of material handling equipment.
• Ideally, some CWB Certification/Training.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

• Shop-based role with limited field/installation work.
• Working hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Overtime may be available on an as-needed basis.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.56-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
