Job Description

A global manufacturer is seeking a Finance Controller to oversee financial operations at one of its key manufacturing sites in Japan. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong tax knowledge and experience in closing books, looking to make a long-term impact in a stable and established environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements
Partner with plant management to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Coordinate with regional and global finance teams
Prepare and analyze financial reports to support strategic decision-making

Requirements:
Proven experience in financial controlling, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of Japanese tax regulations
Hands-on experience with book closing and financial reporting
Fluent in Japanese; basic English communication is sufficient
CPA certification will be preferred
ERP system experience (SAP preferred)
