We are currently seeking the services of a Family Practice Physician at the Labrador South Health Centre in Forteau, NL. This opportunity is available immediately.

Qualifications:

• To be considered, candidates must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador; the criteria for licensure are outlined on the CPSNL website (
• Additionally, the successful candidate must satisfy credentialing requirements of Labrador-Grenfell Zone.
• Earned Medical Degree
• Work experience is an asset
• A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
• A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Duties: (Included but not limited to)

• Your primary duties are to provide full scope of practice which includes obstetrics, emergency medicine and family medicine at the facility.
• The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care. Patient and Worker safety at the Labrador Health Centre is a priority; as such, the successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to partner with all team members by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
• Coverage of on call commitments, including weekends and holidays.
• The successful candidate will work as a part of a Team of physicians and nurses to provide the required services identified above.

Salary:

• Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador

Incentives:

*Physician Signing Bonus $150,000 with $25,000 top up

*Physician Recruitment Incentive Pilot - $200,000 ($100,000 per year)

*Come Home Incentive - $100,000 (if eligibility criteria are met)

*Approved relocation expenses paid at 100% with a two year commitment to our Health Authority

*Temporary Accommodation available
