Guardium Logistics Ltd is Western Canada’s Leading Logistics Service Provider. We offer comprehensive range of additional services that includes truck load, less than truck load, warehousing across Canada. Additionally, we provide mail and courier deliveries in and around Edmonton Region.

Guardium Logistics Ltd is currently looking for Dispatcher to join our team.

We offer:

• Wage: $30.00 per hour
• Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Terms of employment:

• Permanent, Full time
• Job start date: As soon as possible
• Employment conditions: Day, Early Morning, Morning

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Using GPS to monitor the location of the drivers
• Communicating with brokers, carriers, and customers
• Obtaining shipping rates or negotiating with service providers
• Ensuring prompt receipt and delivery of equipment to and from customers
• Handling service related issues while maintaining professionalism and upholding an expected level of customer service
• Responding to queries related to products and deliveries
• Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries
• Enter data in computer system and maintain logs of employees, records of calls, activities and other information
• Delivers items to customers by verifying orders
• Scheduling employees, co-ordinate with other departments, maintain records, time sheets, payroll and other summaries
• Arrange shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements, and placing/expediting orders
• Shipping items by examining items, destination, route, rate, and delivery time; ordering carriers.
• Verify items shipped by matching bills of lading, reconciling quantities, and noting discrepancies
• Keeping customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status
• Performing general office duties

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to speak English
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience an asset
• Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Tight deadlines, Work under pressure
• Personal suitability: Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player
