Your new company You will be joining an institutional organization based in Etobicoke. They are responsible for managing and operating one of Canada’s largest institutional and commercial complexes which is on its way to becoming one of the world’s true mega hubs.
Your new role
You will spearhead the development and execution of our commercial real estate strategy, driving maximum revenue, efficiency, and effectiveness from their land and real estate portfolio. You will oversee the strategic growth of real estate revenue, managing all aspects of development, negotiation, and build. You will identify opportunities to maximize portfolio value and enterprise objectives, while overseeing tenant and enterprise workflow processes. Lead acquisition and disposition processes, including due diligence and deal closure, and manage overall P&L, KPI targets, budgeting, and revenue forecasting. Develop annual budgets and business plans, leveraging data analytics and technology systems to enhance operational efficiencies and generate actionable insights. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including tenants, operators, government agencies, and industry professionals.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in real estate development, portfolio management, and team leadership. Possess a post-secondary degree in Real Estate, Business Management, or equivalent education, with 10 years of experience in a commercial or institutional real estate environment, serving a large and complex customer base. 7+ years of experience in people management, either directly or through cross-functional teams. You are experienced in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Capable of strategic thinking and generating innovative ideas, identifying creative alternatives, and operating in complex environments. Skilled in negotiating competing interests and prioritizing alternatives, developing proposals, business cases, requests for proposals, and property appraisals, and presenting to a diverse client base. Proven ability to manage tenant relationships and work with outside contractors, with strong knowledge of commercial real estate leasing, including lease clauses and terminology. Adept at managing deadlines with conflicting priorities and timelines, leading and inspiring teams to achieve outstanding results, and proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
