Job Description

Join us at Novo Nordisk as a Development Manager, where you will shape the future of our Sales colleagues through impactful MR-related training programs that align with our strategic goals. Your leadership will not only enhance capability development but also empower individuals to reach their full potential in their careers.

Your new role
As a Development Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will lead the development and management of MR related training materials as well as contribute to the goals, capability development, and career development.
Your main tasks will include:

  • Plan, deliver, and lead training programs that empower Sales colleagues to succeed and align with the overall strategy of the marketing and sales division, including onboarding, continuous training, and training for new and existing products.
  • Contribute to capability development through innovative training initiatives by extracting strategic and tactical educational needs from business units to create tailored skills training programs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to develop new training programs and proactively propose strategies that support business unit goals, delivering effective training aligned with these strategies.
  • Drive the success of the training function by leading assigned projects and working with P&O to promote company-wide skills training related to sales division capabilities.
  • Act as an Education and Training Practitioner, managing MR certification as needed while providing backup support for team members when necessary.

Your new department
You will be joining the Sales Management & Development Office (Diabetes & Obesity Sales), a team dedicated to driving excellence in sales performance. Based in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, our department focuses on equipping our sales teams with the skills and tools they need to succeed.
In this position, you will have a big impact on the entire business by developing our Sales force and the strategy around it.

Your skills & qualifications
We’re looking for a new Development Manager who will enjoy working in a high-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 5+ years of experience as an MR, preferably with experience in managing University Hospitals and/or Key Accounts.
  • 3+ years of Sales training or MR development experience.
  • Project Management knowledge and/or experience.
  • Native fluent Japanese with at least basic English understanding strongly preferred.

Working at Novo Nordisk
At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change. We drive it. We’re a dynamic company in an even more dynamic industry, and we know that what got us to where we are today is not necessarily what will make us successful in the future. We cover the spirit of experimentation, striving for excellence without fixating on perfection. We never shy away from opportunities to develop, we seize them. From research and development, through to manufacturing, marketing and sales – we’re all working to move the needle on patient care.

What we offer
There is, of course, more on offer here than the uniqueness of our culture and the extraordinary results we produce. Being part of a global healthcare company means that opportunities to learn and develop are all around us, while our benefits are designed with your career and life stage in mind.

More information
You are welcome to contact Talent Acquisition Partner Chika at CVKM@novonordisk.com if you have questions about the role. Be advised Chika will not support queries about your recruitment status.

Deadline
17 August 2025 (Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and the position may be closed before the deadline).

Novo Nordisk is not your typical healthcare company. In a modern world of quick fixes, we focus on solutions to defeat serious chronic diseases and promote long-term health. Our unordinary mindset is at the heart of everything we do. We seek out new ideas and put people first as we push the boundaries of science, make healthcare more accessible, and treat, prevent, and even cure diseases that affect millions of lives. Because it takes an unordinary approach to drive real, lasting change in health.
