AWS is looking to hire a highly motivated Physical Security Professional to provide hands-on support in our Data Center Infrastructure Operations across Japan. (Data Center Security Manager)

Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate should be proficient in the implementation of Physical Security processes in accordance to the Information Security best practices (SAS70, ISO27001) and the industry standard knowledge and experience in Physical Security.
Familiarity with the local regulatory requirements related to Physical Security is a plus.
Successful candidate will be assigned to one of our Data Centers and he/she will work at a Data Center on a daily basis. He/she will be the go to person at their assigned Data Center for inquiries/support pertaining to Physical Security Operations.
Responsibilities:
Implementation of the Data Center Security Standards, policies and processes in accordance to AWS's Security Standards.
Collaboration with other groups within AWS DC Infra Operations Group (DC Engineering, DC Operations, etc.) and outside of Amazon (Security Guard Providers, Security System Vendors, Emergency Services, etc.) to protect the AWS Data Center and its components.
Development of Security Plans for Security related events and other unique Security situations to ensure Security of the DC and its components.
Perform data analysis based on various Security and non-security data and metrics to investigate Security related incidents, make professional judgement as needed
Partnership with Data Center Engineering and other AWS business units to identify safety and security deficiencies, and develop customized policies and procedures to gain compliance with regulations internal and external to Amazon.
A day in the life
* Verify and approve area access requests and building access requests.
* Assist with project procurement actions: Work order execution, submission of requisition request, Purchase Order (PO) issuance, and invoice validation
* Support other sites in the assigned AZ to conduct media destruction and rack transfer.
* Conduct CICO Assessment Program (CAP) tests and complete monthly drill with CGF.
* Track procurement activities (purchase requests and purchase orders) ensuring their delivery and completion
* On-boarding (provision of Amazon laptop as needed), training and off-boarding of Security Vendor resources
* Participate in security system installation project meetings with DC Security Managers, Security Vendors, DC Operations and other stakeholders with the SPM and/or on behalf of the SPM
* Managing security retrofit projects with procedures defined: CCTV installation, Security Card Reader installation, Door latch alarm installation, etc.
* Documentation and report writing on security metrics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree and above
- Fluent in English - reading, writing, and speaking required
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management and security systems including Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection.
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
