Job Description
DESCRIPTION
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our diverse, friendly and international Data Center team. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our Logistics operations, our business, and most importantly, our customers.
Key job responsibilities
As a Logistics Specialist, you will perform analysis related to process, inventory, efficiency and cost improvements. You will keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company, manage and maintain accurate inventory, and check out parts as needed to our internal customers. Your responsibilities will include tasks such as arranging, scheduling and supporting shipments across sites and other locations, unpacking boxes and verifying contents. Lastly, you will be expected to maintain a clean environment, orderliness and safety in all work spaces.
The ideal Logistics Specialist will dive deep into data to understand and proactively propose ideas to improve Logistics Metrics and Performance at the Data Center.
This position involves occasional trips across the cluster to support other sites and frequent lifting of materials up to 18kg (with support from teammates available).
A day in the life
We provide items to our customers, safely, accurately and in a timely manner.
You will work in a diverse, international and friendly environment.

· Mostly work in a quiet environment, but sometimes in a 75db noise level environment (comparable to industrial grade fan).
· Work with electronic parts.
· There are on-call duties after normal working hours, rotating by team members in a weekly basis.
