Job Description: Crisis Management Documentation Contractor

Overview: We are seeking two highly skilled, fully dedicated contractors to support our Crisis Management initiatives by completing a significant volume of critical documentation by a target end date. The focus is on hands-on, expert-level process documentation-specifically Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) for our business units, locations, departments, and internal products/platforms. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will be available to validate content, but these roles are responsible for driving the documentation process to completion .

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete BIAs for business units and selected critical functions using an established internal template, as a prerequisite for correlating BCPs.
  • Develop the following BCP documentation:
    • Approximately 9 location-specific BCPs
    • 3 business unit BCPs
    • Approximately 5 department BCPs, or one comprehensive corporate-wide BCP covering critical functions
  • Complete Disaster Recovery Plans for approximately 17 internal products/platforms.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Work autonomously to manage timelines and deliverables, ensuring all documentation is finalized by the project deadline.
  • Maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive written documentation that meets internal standards and audit requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven expertise in BIA, BCP, and DRP process documentation (hands-on experience required).
  • Exceptional written documentation skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with SMEs and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with high self-organization and alignment to project goals.
  • Strong project/time management skills to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Based in the United States and able to work within the EST/CST time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with internal templates and established crisis management frameworks.
  • Prior experience in a similar capacity within a complex, multi-unit organization.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to business continuity and disaster recovery.

Engagement Details

  • Full-time Contract role, fully dedicated to this project.
  • Remote work, with availability during EST/CST business hours.
  • Immediate start required.

Note: This role is focused on hands-on documentation and process execution, not on high-level strategizing or consulting. Alignment on this expectation is critical.
