Job Description

Acara Solutions is hiring a Cost Accountant for our Manufacturing client in Cincinnati, OH. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares, reconciles, and analyzes job cost reports and gross margin reports.
• Works with project engineers to identify significant cost variances and issues.
• Prepares and analyzes the deferred variances and overhead absorption schedules.
• Reconciles unvouchered payables and other accrued liabilities.
• Monitors inventory practices to ensure costing accuracy of Inventories and Cost of Goods Sold.
• Reconciles other accruals as needed.
• Reconciles Balance Sheet Accounts as assigned.
• Maintains the fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
• Reviews labor reporting between time tracking software and ERP system.
• Assists outside auditors in connection with audit procedures.
• Performs special accounting projects as assigned.
• Performs other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 2 years of practical job-related experience in cost accounting. Must be well organized with knowledge of PC applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, especially Excel), accurate data entry skills and ability to work under pressure.
