1. - Working within ALF Corporate software program, including Updating and reviewing corporate database, records and minute books;
2. Working with Yukon Corporate Affairs to managing ongoing corporate maintenance including all manners of corporate searches, filings and registrations
3. - Preparing and proofreading corporate documentation relating to corporate governance matters, incorporations, organizations, dividends, continuances, amendments, dissolutions, reorganizations and asset purchases; Document drafting such as Articles of Incorporation/Amendment/Amalgamation, corporate resolutions and registers, purchase agreements;
4. - Working within Unity Accounting software program, including preparation of Statements of Account, posting disbursements, and other data entry;
5. - Corresponding professionally with clients and other external stakeholders such as lawyers, accountants or government employees; and using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standard;
6. - Conduct legal research as necessary to support drafting and compliance initiatives. Monitor and update legal templates and documentation as required by changing regulations.
7. - Provide general administrative support for the legal department, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing correspondence.
At least 1 year's experience as legal assistant is required.
