Job Description

Position - Project Manager in Construction

SAJO is in search of dynamic individuals for the position of Project Manager for its general contracting division.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: A university degree or technical diploma in the areas of engineering, architecture, building sciences or construction technology. 
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of project management experience in construction. A solid understanding of the operational and financial scope of projects is required.

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The project manager is responsible for implementing all phases of the project, ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Detailed budgetary planning and monitoring of project costs are key as well as establishing solid relations and ongoing communication with clients, sub-trades, site personnel and other stakeholders.

  • A problem-solving mindset and quick response to changing operational or client needs is of the essence. 
  • Accurate and thorough documentation is required at all phases of the project. 
  • The project manager must have excellent management, negotiating and leadership skills.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English are required.

SAJO est à la recherche de personnes dynamiques pour le poste de Gérant(e) de Projet en construction pour sa division d'entrepreneur général.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Éducation: Un diplôme universitaire ou technique dans les domaines de l'ingénierie, de l'architecture, des sciences du bâtiment ou de la technologie de la construction.
  • Expérience: 5 à 8 ans d'expérience en gestion de projet dans la construction. Une bonne compréhension de la portée opérationnelle et financière des projets est requise.

COMPÉTENCES ET RESPONSABILITÉS:

Le/la gérant(e)t de projet est responsable de la mise en œuvre de toutes les phases du projet, en assurant la qualité et la livraison à temps. La planification budgétaire détaillée et le suivi des coûts du projet sont essentiels, tout comme l'établissement de relations solides et de communication continue avec les clients, les sous-traitants, le personnel du site et les autres parties prenantes. 

  • Un esprit de résolution de problèmes et une réponse rapide à l'évolution des besoins opérationnels ou des clients sont essentiels. 
  • Une documentation précise et complète est requise à toutes les étapes du projet.
  • Le/la gérant(e) de projet doit avoir d'excellentes compétences en gestion, en négociation et en leadership.
  • De solides compétences en informatique sont requises.
  • De solides compétences en communication en français et en anglais sont requises.
