We’re looking for a Class 1 Driver who’s ready to roll - whether you’re just starting your driving journey or you’ve already logged some serious miles.

About Us:

Van-Kam Freightways Ltd (Van Kam) is one of the largest regional carriers in Western Canada specializing in less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation. With 8 terminal locations across British Columbia, we fulfill shipments to communities within 1-3 days throughout BC and Alberta. Between our own resources and our partner network, our coverage extends beyond Western Canada into the U.S. and Eastern Canada.

We are currently hiring for a Class 1 Driver out of our Victoria Terminal. 

Key Responsibilities :

• Performing local city LTL deliveries and pickups in Victoria and surrounding areas.
• Operating various tractor-trailer combinations based on delivery needs.
• Traveling between our Victoria terminal and customer facilities within the service area.
• Conducting pre-trips and post-trip inspections.
• Ensuring all freight is handled with care and delivered safely and on time.
• Communicating clearly and professionally with dispatch and customers.
• Maintaining accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
• Representing our company with a customer-first, professional attitude.

Qualifications:

• A valid Class 1 Driver’s License (a must!)
• A clean driver’s abstract
• Strong work ethic and safety-first attitude
• Good communication and time management skills
• Comfortable with early mornings, long hauls, or local runs (flexibility is key!)

No experience? No problem — if you’ve got a license and the drive, we’ll support your learning.
Already experienced? Fantastic — bring your skills and we’ll put them to good use.
