Position Summary

Terus Construction, a Division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking qualified gravel truck driver/truck and pony /4 axle quad/dump trailer (with Class 1 License) transport and handling various aggregate materials from pits and around to construction sites. Must be able to work flexible long days and odd weekends. This is a unionized position in Prince George B.C., the driver must also clean, inspect, and maintain equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures. Loader and operator experience with the odd times be able to self load and operate Loader. The wage range for this role is competitive starting at $43 an hour. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to operate Class 1 Truck Qualified Dump Truck Driver to safely operate 4-axle Dump Trailer, pony trailer, and quad trailer
• Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
• The applicant must be able to lift and move product sometimes involving strenuous labor.
• Ability to work extended hours & irregular days with irregular breaks.
• Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records and DOT certifications.
• Complete Daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle.
• Complete all other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Perform a variety of tasks as needed or required when not delivering aggregate.
• Must be willing to travel and work out town occasionally when required or necessary.

Requirements:

• Have a Class 1 Driver License
• Pass an MVR and a Drug Test
• Experience operating a Truck in construction areas is preferred.
• Ability to perform manual labour.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
• Work overtime as required.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
