Job Description



The base salary for this position is $24.86 hourly.

Our on property Call Center Agent (PBX Operator) is responsible for transporting guests virtually anywhere they would like to go at any time.

Job Duties include:

  • Operates the telephone switchboard, handles incoming, inter-office and outgoing calls. 
  • Handles radios, pagers, and other communication devices.
  • Receives and sends faxes. Ensure all guest requests are forwarded to the appropriate department.
  • Takes messages over the phone and prints for guest room delivery.
  • Lends assistance and handles emergencies by phone.
  • Logs and reports troubleshooting for any phone glitches throughout the hotel / resort to telephone provider. Obtains all pertinent information needed including ticket number, occurring problem, urgency of problem, and estimated time for glitch to be resolved. Monitors progress of open tickets and reports urgent, recurring, and guest issues to Front Office Manager / Manager on Duty
  • Maintains all records and makes all reports required. Assist with other office functions and desk-related duties as needed.
  • Does guest wake-up calls and all necessary recording involved.
  • Participate in associate and community relations functions.
  • Participate in training sessions, communication and planning meetings.
  • Converses with guests on a regular basis for guest satisfaction and PR purposes.
  • Performs other duties as required to provide guest service satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in same or similar role preferred.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail .
  • Ability to interact in a polite, professional, and engaging manner.
  • Experience in a luxury environment is preferred.
