CABINET MAKER-Etobicoke, ON
Client is a custom millwork and manufacturing firm specializing in commercial projects that has been operating in the Toronto area for over 20 years. We are AWMAC and LEED Certified and produce millwork in over 1600 construction projects internationally, 1000 of which in the greater Toronto area alone.   A family business that passes on the tradition of striving for perfection, taking pride in our work, reaching above and beyond what is expected, and maintaining the high standard of craftsmanship that has set us from its competitors.?  
We create a variety of high-end custom millwork, casework, architectural woodwork, surface cladding and themed spaces for restaurants, hotels, casinos, entertainment facilities, condominiums, malls and many other public spaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Select and prepare materials, including wood, hardware, and adhesives, for cabinet construction.
• Cut, shape, and assemble wooden components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Install cabinets, shelves, countertops, and other wooden fixtures in residential or commercial spaces.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling materials.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, techniques, and advancements in cabinet making and woodworking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in cabinet making or woodworking preferred.
• Proven experience as a cabinet maker or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
• Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
