Objectives of the Position  
• To lead the development of the most effective Import Export Operations, Operational Vendor management, Customs & 
Foreign Trade Processes in accordance with Corporate Guidelines and benchmarking of cost / service to ensure overall 
Supply Chain competitiveness. 
• To work together with Local and regional Business Unit, Regional Customs & Foreign Trade, order Management team, 
Global business services units, Finance and procurements to ensure the compliance of corporate and mandatory 
requirements and work towards implementation of initiatives and driving supply chain excellence. 
• Establish and maintain productive and cooperative relationships with the other Regional and Global BASF Supply Chain 
communities. 
• To manage LLP & LSP for day to day in Import and Export Management, Transportation Management for Inbound & 
Outbound and handle all relevant escalations. 
• Responsible for customs operations in Japan and ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to our organization 
and Country statutory requirements and act as key responsible for Customs & Foreign Trade related topics in accordance 
with the Japanese customs rules and regulations including customs audits, disputes and queries. 
• To collaborate closely with customs Hub and regional Customs community as per role and responsibilities on duty 
optimization initiatives by leveraging and ensuring exports documentation done under different trade facilities. 
• To support business units ensuring service efficiencies and continuous improvement programs to improve the quality of 
the services provided and/or the efficiency of the support processes. 
• To support in developing a work culture with service providers that fosters service excellence and customer focus in the 
provision of the Import/Export operations, Customs & Foreign Trade and ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence 
to our organization and Country statutory requirements  
• To handle 3PL's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) performance and drive improvement for the organization's Supply 
Chain operations. 

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities
•Responsible for leading the import and export management of the Company in supporting service delivery of all sales & distribution of goods to customer both outbound and inbound.
•To co-ordinate with Business Units, regional legal department, department, regional Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) on local/regional/global trade controls. To liaise with Government regulatory agencies with regards to statutory requirements and regulations.
•To provide and recommend logistics supply chain solutions and advice to Business Units (BU).
•To manage service provider for day to day in Import and Export Management, customs related topics, transportation Management for Inbound & Outbound and handle all relevant escalations.
•To manage all local, regional and global reporting covering KPI’s and other informative request relating to Supply Chain services including 3PL and LLP KPIs Managements
•To manage 3PL service provider compliance to Transport Distribution Safety (TDS) guidelines and facilitate Road Safety
Internal
•To manage the coordination, verification and submission of any shipping insurance claims for the Company.
•To support and participate in assigned projects to ensure successful project deliverables
•To maintain effective relationships with local management team, Regional and Global stakeholders.
•Responsible for the compliance of group guidelines and local statutory requirements.
•To ensure logistics costs and expenses inline with contract agreement or SPOT approval.
•To manage any demands of new business requirements and any customer logistics service support and derive solutions as per Company policy and directives.
•To identify, recommend and implement measures to improve Import/Export logistics process efficiency, effectiveness and operational costs containment.
•To manage Non-Conformances and to ensure proper corrective and preventive measures are in place and to review effectiveness of such measures
•To support logistics procurement activities (e.g., tendering) for the organization.
•To act as a back-up for other team members - Logistics for day-to-day activities
•Co-ordination of the Company's insurance coverage and claim handling processes
•To perform audit and random checks at 3PL to ensure adherence of agreed work instructions and business rules.

■Job Requirements 
Education:Bachelor's degree
WorkingExperience
•Over 5 years in Logistics operations such as Warehousing and Distribution management, including, but not limited to, transport management preferably in the chemical industry a, knowledge of licensing requirements and Dangerous Goods handling.
•Experience in a regional role is an advantage
•Ability to work in matrix organization is an advantage

Technical & Professional Knowledge
▪Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications and SAP.
▪Intermediate to advance knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics operations.

▪Fluent in Japanese and English.

• 3PLの主要業績評価指標（KPI）のパフォーマンスを管理し、組織のサプライチェーン業務の改善を推進する。]

具体的には
• 会社の輸出入管理および、顧客へのす販売、商品の流通（アウトバウンドおよびインバウンド）のサービス提供を支援する。
• 事業部や法務部門、環境・健康・安全（EHS）部門と連携し、貿易管理を調整する。政府の規制機関と連絡を取り、法定要件や規制に関する対応を行う。
• 各事業部に対して物流サプライチェーンソリューションを提供し、アドバイスを行う。
• 輸出入管理の日常業務、税関関連トピック、輸送管理（インバウンドおよびアウトバウンド）を担当するサービスプロバイダーを管理し、関連するすべてのエスカレーションを処理する。
• KPIやサプライチェーンサービスに関連するその他の情報要求を含む、すべての地域およびグローバルな報告を管理し、3PLおよびLLPのKPI管理を行う。
• 会社の出荷保険請求の管理。
• 割り当てられたプロジェクトに参加し、プロジェクト成果を確保する。
• 国内の管理チーム、アジア地域およびグローバルな利害関係者との効果的な関係を維持する。
• グループガイドラインおよび地域の法定要件の遵守を責任として管理する。
• 物流コストおよび費用が契約合意またはSPOT承認に沿ったものであることを確保する。
• 新しいビジネス要件や顧客物流サービスサポートの要求に応じて、会社の方針と指示に従ったソリューションを導出する。
• 輸出入物流プロセスの効率性、効果性、運営コストの抑制を改善するための措置を特定、推奨、実施する。
• 不適合を管理し、適切な是正措置および予防措置が講じられていることを確保し、その効果をレビューする。
• 事業部の物流調達活動（例：入札）を支援する。
• 他のチームメンバーのバックアップとして、日常業務を行う。
• 会社の保険カバレッジおよび請求処理プロセスの調整を行う。
• 3PLにおいて、合意された作業指示およびビジネスルールの遵守を確保するために監査およびランダムチェックを実施する。

応募要件

大卒以上

職務経験
• 輸送管理を含む、倉庫管理や流通管理などのロジスティクス業務で5年以上の経験。

（化学品のライセンス要件や危険物の取り扱いに関する知識がある方は歓迎します）
• 外資系企業での就業経験や、グローバル組織での経験をお持ちの方を歓迎します。

技術的および専門的知識
▪ MS OfficeアプリケーションおよびSAPの実務知識を持つコンピュータリテラシー。
▪ サプライチェーンおよびロジスティクス業務の中級から上級の知識。

流暢な日本語・英語で業務が遂行できること
