Duties and responsibilities related to the Assistant Front Office Manager role:

Financial responsibility – work with Front Office Manager to control both labor and department expenses.

Takes lead on segment of the department to own and grow skills (Front Office and Guest Services).

Responsibility for specific area of focus, while being knowledgeable on all areas and supporting follow leaders – working to drive their area forward with creative plans and incentives.

Lead on maintaining guest room inventory, scheduling and resolving guest complaints.

Coach and counsel a team of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and front-line colleagues in their growth and support while working to ensure the hotel reflects Hyatt service standards.

Operates as a Manager on Duty.

Attends relevant meetings to discuss problems and future strategies.

About You

The Assistant Front Office Manager is a property Assistant Department Head responsible for the execution of the Front Office department, areas which include: Front Desk staff, and Guest Service staff and will be tasked with being the lead on a segment of the department. A successful candidate should strive to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department by owing focus areas and topics of the department, while leading the team to exceed property goals. The Assistant Front Office Manager monitors compliance with standards and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all operational aspects of the Front Office and Guest Services areas. This role will operate as a Manager on Duty and will be tasked with duties that will work to build them into a successful Department Head candidate in the medium to long term future.

This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
