Job Description

We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Assembler to join a leading Company located in theDallas, NC surrounding area.

First of three levels of Assembler. Diversified mechanical assembly or sub-assembly of units that are moderately complex, requiring adjusting, fitting, and aligning to ordinary tolerances. Requires basic math skills as well as the ability to use common hand tools. May inspect and test completed units. May rotate stations in a work cell.  Workinvolves frequent handling of diverse components and may includewalking or standing most of the time.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Read and decipher part numbers.
• Follow work instructions, establish quality standards, and establish safety protocols.
• Pull materials for assembly and put materials away. 
• Meet defined production expectations and be on-timeto schedule.
• Read and recognize assembly parts and their subcomponents by size for application of assembly.
• Package and label productand perform computer transactions.
• Perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job, as described in Section E: Working Conditions.
• Alert Lead or Supervisor to material shortages, quality, or safety issues.
• Participate in physical inventories.
• Replenish parts bins. 
• Participate in process improvement events, as directed.
• Assist with other functions within the department,as directed.
• Assist other departments with various duties and projects, as directed.
• Keep workarea clean and organized.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School diploma or equivalent, communicationand math. skillsand less than 1 year of experience or equivalent.
• Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use labelprinter to print labels.
• Ability to multitask.
