About this Position

At Henkel Japan's Adhesive Technologies Consumer & Craftsmen (ACC) division, we are seeking an Application Engineer for products aimed at construction professionals as part of our efforts to further expand the business. ACC's key clients span a wide range of industries, including building material distributors, construction companies, housing manufacturers, and building material manufacturers.

ヘンケル・ジャパンの接着剤技術部門「一般接着剤事業部（ACC）」では、事業拡大の一環として、建設プロフェッショナル向け製品のアプリケーションエンジニアを募集しています。ACCの主要顧客は、建材卸売業者、建設会社、住宅メーカー、建材メーカーなど、幅広い業界にわたっています。 

What you´ll do

• Field visits to end-users (majority of time) to understand habits, application specifics, analyse competitor landscape. 
• Product recommendations, product applications demonstrations, technical visits
• Support and/or develop technical videos · Work with application equipment to provide solutions to enhance customer adhesive related processes.
• Support standardization process of technical documents & ensure same data in all platforms.
• Supervise the laboratory work (incl. prioritization) for samples coming from customers and report technical results to customers.
• Reports quality issues / customers' claims to relevant parts of the organization
• Leverage customer feedback to optimize current offers and identify new business opportunities for sales and marketing colleagues.
• Communicate with sales, marketing, Product Development, Innovation, members of technical field team or project team members.
• Stay up to trend on latest local regulations on construction and building Industry.
• エンドユーザーを訪問し（勤務の大半を占める）、顧客インサイトやアプリケーションの詳細を理解し、競合他社の状況を分析。
• 製品の適切な推奨、製品の使用方法のデモンストレーション、技術的な側面を伝えるための顧客訪問実施。
• 技術的動画のサポートおよび/または作成。
• 製品の適用に関する各種ツールを活用して、顧客の接着剤に関わる課題を解決する方法を提供する
• 技術文書の標準化プロセスを支援し、すべてのプラットフォームで同一のデータを確保。
• 顧客から得たサンプルに対するラボ作業をフォローアップ（優先順位付けを含む）し、顧客に技術結果を報告。
• 品質問題や顧客からのクレームを関連部門に報告。
• 顧客からのフィードバックを活用して現在の提供内容を最適化し、営業やマーケティングチームのために新たなビジネス機会を特定。
• 営業、マーケティング、製品開発、イノベーション、技術フィールドチームやプロジェクトチームメンバーと連携。
• 建設、建築業界における最新のローカル規制に関するトレンドを把握。

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/engineering/technical education, relevant for construction industry.
• Possess at least 3-5 years’ experience working hands-on with Craftsmen
• Chemical/engineering/technical education, relevant for construction industry
• Hands on experience with sealants, adhesives and functional coatings preferred
• Candidates with experience from Multi- National Companies within the Building Material Industry will be held in high regard
• Written and verbal English/ Japanese language skills are essential · Must have driver license · Willing to travel (50%-60% of the time)
• Good trouble-shooting and analytical skill.
• A successful team player with strong people skills
• Self-motivated and willing to learn

• 英語および日本語の読み書き・会話能力が必須
• 有効な運転免許証を所持していること
• 出張（50%-60%）を厭わないこと
• 優れたトラブルシューティングおよび分析能力
• 強い対人スキルを持つ成功したチームプレイヤー
• 自発的に行動し、学ぶ意欲があるこ
