Job Description



The House of Commons’ Finance Services is currently looking to staff the Administrator, purchasing position for a three-year term and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future opportunities.

As part of Corporate Procurement and Asset Management Services, you are responsible for the provision of procurement services for a variety of goods and services for Members and employees of the House of Commons. You will be involved with clarifying requirements to internal clients, researching potential suppliers, preparing purchase orders, placing acquisition card purchases, preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQ), analyzing bids, and helping select a winning supplier.

Qualifications



Education :

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary school degree or diploma in a discipline related to the functions of the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Experiences :

  • Recent experience in the procurement of goods or services.
  • Recent experience interacting with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Recent experience working with a personal computer using the Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word, Excel and Outlook as well as experience working with a corporate financial software.

Assets :

  • Experience in preparing purchase orders.
  • Experience in public procurement.
