Job Description

This is a Part time, term.58 FTE position of 20 hours per week. This is a 6 month term position with potential for renewal.

The primary function of the Accountant is to provide support to the Director of Finance to ensure timely and accurate financial statements are prepared on a monthly basis.

-Successful completion of an accounting degree or diploma from a recognized institution or combination of relevant education, training or experience.
-A minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience is required
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.  
-Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or other accounting software.
-Must have the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and direction.
-Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with other team members.
-Must follow accounting policies, procedures established by the agency
-Must maintain confidentiality in all matters related to vendors, customers, staff and clients.
-Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Business Central accounting software
-Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
-Demonstrated understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders is an asset.
