We are looking for English standardized testing (TOEFL/IELTS) and SAT tutors.
This role is part-time and hourly, involving  in-person 1:1 and/or group classes with students based in Tokyo, Japan, with the option to also work remotely with students based around the world.

If you’re a high achiever, have a proven track record of excellent SAT, TOEFL or IELTS test scores, possess strong soft skills, and are passionate about education, you may fit right in as a tutor to the extensive network that is Crimson Education.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Working closely with Tokyo-based students in the in-person classes. Or with students based across the world - including the US, Asia, Australia, and Europe, when tutoring remotely
• Conducting formal tutoring sessions with students on a frequent ongoing basis
• Using testing knowledge to deliver high-quality academic tutoring to Crimson students in TOEFL, IELTS and/or SAT
• Preparing students for upcoming tests and strengthening base concepts in order to improve performance
• Maintaining reasonable levels of communication with students outside of formal sessions

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• You are bilingual/fluent in Japanese and English
• You have weeknight evenings from 6 to 9 PM and Sunday availability
• You have achieved excellent student testing outcomes
• You’re passionate about education and enjoy teaching - ideally, you’ve even got some experience tutoring students already!
• You’re detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
• You’ve got fantastic verbal and written communication skills
